Frequently Asked Questions

Health Plans are available for purchase year-round and expire 1 year after date of purchase.

Typically the second visit is scheduled 6 months after the first one. This ensures that your horse will receive their planned vaccines on schedule.

You can schedule your visits when it works best for you and your horse, but most owners prefer to have one visit in the spring and the second in the fall.

EHMP programs are nonrefundable, nontransferable, and included items cannot be omitted for discount or substituted.

You can still take advantage of the health plan. There is an additional cost for the required booster vaccine(s) and call fee 4 weeks after the first visit.

That’s not a problem. Health Plan procedures can also be done on the second visit. The vet will discuss everything with you at the first visit.

Our health plan includes the following vaccines recommended for our area:

  • Influenza
  • Rhinopneumonitis
  • Tetanus
  • West Nile Virus
  • Eastern & Western Equine Encephalitis

We have also included an additional Influenza & Rhinopneumonitis booster at 6 months

We’ve included a second, sedated full dental exam as well as a second float (only if needed) for our older patients. Doing a sedated exam allows us to thoroughly check the health of all their teeth. As horses age, this becomes increasingly important. Not every older horse needs dental corrections done at 6 month intervals, but if yours does, we’ve got that covered for you. The vet will discuss what’s needed upon examination at the visit.
